What is a HIP?
Home Information Pack law was introduced by the Government to help speed up the conveyancing process and improve energy efficiency in homes.
What does it include?
  • Energy Performance Certificate.
  • Local Authority Enquiries.
  • Drainage search.
  • Evidence of Title from the Land Registry.
  • Copy of the lease and information on service charges and insurance if a leasehold property.
  • Index.
  • Sale Statement.
What does it cost?

It is now unlawful to market your property without first applying for one.
What do we do with a HIP?
An electronic version is forwarded to you and your estate agent and once your sale is agreed, a copy is sent to the buyer’s solicitor, in order to comply with your obligations under the law.
